My 2023/24 School Year



Hello! My name is Alan. Welcome to my Blog! I’m going to be journaling on this Blog so if you want to keep track of me, stay tuned!

This school year I was in 4th grade. It was pretty boring and long. Hopefully next year won’t be too hard, because Channing warned me that 5th grade was super hard. I became the family speller this year, and spelling can be very handy, usually. We did Astronomy this year for science and I discovered that star gazing was my happy place. A highlight for me was spotting a starlink. Also, the sun was very active this year so we had lots of Northern Lights shows... couldn't get a good picture though:



Also, this was my 4th year of wrestling folkstyle, and I got my first 1st place trophy and shirt. That tournament was so hard, I couldn't breathe after the matches. The win felt so good but so exhausting. I felt like a new wrestler, and I went on to win the next tournament I went to also.


I also love to hunt. This year I shot my first duck AND goose on two different hunting trips.

Summer activities

Ever since school got out, we have been camping out in the basement living room doing lots of sleepovers with cousins and friends, and might be having another one soon🤩. A couple things that I’m really surprised we haven’t been doing is more campfires and going swimming in the city outdoor pool and the lake. But, I still have plenty of summer to do all of that.  Me and my brother Channing have been biking to a workout type of thing every Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8:00 to 8:50, so we can’t really get breakfast before we leave. Last week we did sprinting and that was terrible. Afterwards we did the math and got 750 yards of sprinting! This week we did tons of different types of working out, like jumping, more sprinting, and weights. I think that it’s really fun. My goal of working out is to get into shape for wrestling and football this fall.

2024 Football Season🏈

            This was my first year in Valley City Thunder Football (my dream sport) and I had tons of fun. Practice started in August, and we had games into October. The practices were very tiring, but it all paid off during games because I never got tired, and I’m pretty sure that we won more games than we lost. Thunder Football has two teams: White and Royal, and I was on White. I’m pretty sure Royal was better than us but in the last game of the season is a game where both teams compete against each other and it ended in a tie! Everyone said White dominated the entire game. That was like the best fall of my life.             I am going to tell you more about it. My position was defensive end and sometimes tight end. Since I was defensive end I had outside containment so I made most of the tackles. I had wanted to be a linebacker or a cornerback, but I was happy with the position I was given because I could still make tackles...
